The Dream Green series highlights the great efforts underway in co-hosts' Stuart Tanner and James Moore home base of Fairfield in the southeast corner of Iowa. Featured is educator, eco-activist, entrenpreneur, and sustainable visionary Prof. Lonnie Gamble. Having lived off the grid himself for nearly 20 years, Gamble has created for-profit and non-profit sustainable developments in Hawaii, Iowa and beyond, including Fairfield's ABundant Ecovillage. As a founding faculty member of Maharishi University of Management's Sustainable Living Department, which offers greaduate and post-graduate degrees, he has helped attract over 90 students, making it the largest department at the university.
Enjoy a walking tour of the nearly completed Sustainable Living Center on MUM campus which contains a number of features taking it to a level past LEED-certification. We also speak with assistant professor Travis Cox and sustainability students Minca Borg and Jim Schleppenbach.
